In the Bhera area in Sargodha, Pakistan, a man murdered his wife and two-and-a-half-year-old son. According to police, the man beat them to death with a stick and then hid the bodies.
Police arrested the man. During the investigation, he stated that he had doubts about his wife's character.
This double murder illustrates the harrowing reality in which some women are trapped in Pakistan.

An honour killing is a murder in the name of honour. If a brother murders his sister to restore family honour, it is an honour killing. According to activists, the most common reasons for honour killings are as the victim:
